Project DualLink

Maxwell  Harlan is a bat who's got issues but who doesn't? He's been in the town of [insert town name] for all his life and while he doesn't mind it, things could be better. However, strange things start happening around town disrupting the peace. Soon the events have Max at the center of everything and his personal demons are staring right at him. Will Max be able to make a stand and save his town? Or will he run from everything like he always has?

Gameplay

The intended gameplay will be similar to Earthbound and the early Shin Megami Tensei, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and Persona games. There will only be 2 playable characters and 5 dungeons to explore. This was intended to be a concept demo and as a result it's going to be the most barebone RPG possible just for me to be able to make it solo.  I’m thinking of having both characters be a build your own type deal with distributing your points on level up.

Story

Since this is a proof of concept for my main game this is going to be a prequel to that game. This story is still going to be mental health based and its main message is going to be about self acceptance and facing yourself.

As for the game story itself it revolves around a town where theres strange holes in reality popping up. Max stumbles into one and hence his adventure starts!
